Refund policy
At a glance
- 14 days to ask for a refund of your first payment
- No reason needed inside the window
- Renewals are refunded only on the grounds listed below
- Duplicate and unauthorized charges are always refunded
- Ask at support@suitcast.com
01The 14-day money-back guarantee
You can ask for a full refund within 14 calendar days of your first payment on a Monitor or Pro plan, monthly or annual, as long as the account has not been used extensively in that time (see below). Inside the window and that limit, you do not need to give a reason.
The first payment is the first charge on a new subscription. Renewal charges on an existing subscription are not first payments and are not covered.
02What counts as extensive use
The guarantee is for trying Suitcast on your own site, not for collecting reports and leaving. It does not apply if, during the 14 days, the account:
- scanned more than 2 different sites;
- ran more than 10 scans in total, weekly and on demand together; or
- was used in a way that, in Suitcast's reasonable assessment, was mainly to collect reports for many sites rather than to monitor your own.
Scanning your own site, reading the report, downloading its PDF, marking issues fixed and receiving the weekly alert are normal use and never affect the guarantee.
03Renewal charges
Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans each year until you cancel. You agree to that at checkout, and by the first renewal you have used the product for a full period, so renewal charges are not refundable except on the grounds in the next section.
- Cancel any time from the billing page, with no fee. Monitoring continues to the end of the period you paid for.
- Your renewal date is on your billing page and in the billing portal.
- No partial or pro-rata refunds are given for the unused part of a renewed period.
04Other grounds for a refund
Outside the guarantee, including for renewal charges, a refund is given when:
- you were charged twice for the same period;
- you were charged without your authorization;
- you had cancelled before the renewal date and were charged anyway;
- a fault on Suitcast's side stopped the service from working and it could not be fixed;
- the service did not match how it was described when you bought it; or
- consumer protection law where you live requires a refund.
Requests on these grounds are looked at one by one and may need a detail such as the charge date or a screenshot.
05How to ask for a refund
Email support@suitcast.com from the address on your account, with the date of the charge and, if you are outside the guarantee, the reason. You get a reply within 5 business days.
Approved refunds are issued by Polar, the merchant of record, to the original payment method. Your bank usually shows the refund within 5 to 10 business days.
06What happens after a refund
The refunded subscription is cancelled and the account returns to the free plan. Your sites are paused, not deleted, and scan history is kept for 90 days. If the refunded payment used the founding discount, the founding price ends with the subscription.
07Refund abuse
Refunds may be declined, and future purchases refused, where the pattern points to abuse, for example repeated subscribe and refund cycles across the same or related email addresses or payment methods, or accounts opened to collect reports for many sites and then refunded.
08What is not refunded
- A change of mind after the 14-day window on the first payment.
- A renewal you forgot to cancel, or a period in which you did not use the service, unless one of the grounds above applies.
- An account that went past the extensive use limits during the window.
- An account closed for breaking the terms of service.
09Your rights under the law
Nothing in this policy limits a right you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the place you live. Where that law gives you a remedy this policy does not, the law applies and Suitcast honors it.
